~I spent the morning writing a letter and e-mailing it off to the mayor and some city council members begging them not to close our rec center, pool and our town’s Nature Center.
~Library for story time. M had fun, but I was so, so proud of E. He has never sat still for a story time before, but I’d been noticing recently how well he was enjoying books at home so I decided to give it a try and it went great! He sat and listened and participated and had a blast. We will be going more often now I think.
~Home for lunch and then naps. M knocked out several chapters in an American Girl book before bed and in lieu of a nap decided to finish off the book.
~After naps we headed out to M’s gymnastics class. They did dive rolls, rock climbing and ladder climbing. Elliott did puzzles.
~On the way home we spotted Jupiter and Venus so as soon as we got home, I grabbed the camera and we went outside to take pics. The shutter was open for so long you can actually see how the planets moved very slightly in the picture.
~M looked at the planets book we have to learn a little more. But not much b/c she’s reading a third American Girl book now.
~After dinner the kids watched classic Christmas movies such as Rudolph & Frosty.
~Stories at bedtime.
